Definition of Distinction
The definition of distinction is “the quality or state of being different or unique.” This term is often used to describe someone who is notable or special in some way. Distinction can also refer to a difference between two things, such as the difference between two shades of color. When used in this way, distinction often emphasizes the smallness of the difference.
What Distinction Means
Distinction is the difference between something and nothing. It is very important to keep your clients and customers on their toes. Give them a reason why they should be there when they see another shop do exactly the same thing, as you do. You will be able to distinguish yourself in your market and give yourself a competitive edge over your competition.
Distinction in law of attraction
Distinction in the law of attraction is the act of an individual identifying with a substance or concept which is different from its original form. This may be done by inverting the substance, thus creating a reversed version, or by some other means. Distinction in the law of attraction does not require that any change be made from its original form, only that there be some kind of difference between the two states.
Distinction in law of attraction Distinction in law of attraction If one intends to use the power of positive thinking (also called the law of attraction) then they may need to realise that there is a difference between “positive thinking” and the Law of Attraction which is the belief that thoughts are the determining factor in our lives.
In the law of attraction, a distinction is made between the latent, subconscious programming (the beliefs and desires) expressed through thought and feeling and the conscious perception of material things. The subconscious mind seeks to manifest the latent potential (the habitual mind), which contains all possible outcomes for you based on what you’ve learned, thought about, done, felt or been told. Your subconscious mind works in a “new thought” manner, examining your choices and making changes in response to new information.
The notion of distinction
The notion of distinction is also known as the attribute of quality. It is usually used to describe qualities that distinguish one thing from another based on certain features and characteristics. The idea behind this is that something different or unique about a single thing makes it stand out, which means it does not belong in the same group with other similar things.
The notion of distinction can be defined as the psychological phenomenon by which an individual or group is distinguished from other individuals or groups in terms of some important characteristic. There are countless definitions of this but I think it is easier to illustrate what it means than explain what it means…
The distinction between facts and opinions in law of attraction
An important distinction between facts and opinions in law of attraction is that the facts surrounding the issue are essentially undisputed (although this does not mean there are no controversies about them). On the other hand, the opinions presented in the media tend to be controversial.
- Facts are descriptions of things and events that have the same meaning for everyone.
- Opinions are people’s evaluations or appraisals about whether something is good, bad, or just so.
- A fact is a fact regardless of who believes it or not.
- An opinion may be true or false regardless of whether people believe it or not.
- Facts are statements that are true; they tell us when an event occurred, what caused an event to occur, or when and why something exists in its present form.
- Opinions are statements that express people’s beliefs and attitudes about a person, place, thing, or event.
Note: Don’t confuse facts and opinions because you are the creator of your own reality.
One’s attitude towards distinctions
It is well known that we humans have an inherently tribal mind. Differentiating people into different “kinds”, categories, or groups leads to an increased sense of identity and belonging. For example, one’s attitude towards distinctions affects their level of motivation to work with others.
Make a distinction wherever possible and useful.
Do not use words that carry a distinction when you do not know the distinction.
If a word carries a distinction that means something to you, but you are not certain what it means to others, make a point of saying what the distinction is.
Wherever there is an absence of appropriate words, or uncertainty as to whether the meaning of ”the right” word is fully understood, do not hesitate to make up arbitrary words or symbols.
When you have positions on important issues which you cannot state clearly in your own words, find positions that can be stated clearly.
Never write or say ”It depends.”
Distinctions are good. They give your life definition, meaning and value. Therefore, we would like to encourage you to have as many distinctions as possible that describe the wholeness of your being. Why? You are an entire universe and you want that universe to be completely recognized in order for it to grow and expand into a greater experience of itself and thus attracting higher and higher order circumstances into the equation.
